A mum of two little wildlings based in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. Originally from Ceredigion, I studied Photographic Art at the University of South Wales, Newport. I've always loved living by the coast and exploring the beautiful and wild landscape.
I grew up surrounded by tales of nature and magic, you’ll find these influences woven throughout my work.
After lockdown reignited my creative spark, I began experimenting with cyanotypes during maternity leave. It's been a slow journey full of learning curves in stolen moments of baby nap times and late evenings but it's been so fulfilling too!
Cyanotypes are a dreamy combination of art and science; developed with sun and water. These blue images are an early type of photography made without a camera and no two are the same. I love this whole process, especially watching it transform as it goes through each stage of development.
I've left behind the darkrooms for the, often shy, Welsh sun! I love how unpredictable the medium is and using it in new ways makes it all the more intriguing to me. I hope to bring a little magic into every piece! I can't wait to show you the versatility of this old art form.
Thanks for joining me!
